Training days provide members and their dogs with sound methods for teaching obedience and socialization, as well as access to training tools, testing, trainers, birds, and hunting while meeting like minded individuals. We welcome everyone whether you are starting a new puppy and need guidance or have trained or owned a hunting dog before. We can provide assistance to novices and experienced hunters alike. Chapter involvement is essential to the Club's overall success. We have to give back and "pay it forward".

We believe in training the foundation Vs. training to "pass a test". Creating a "culture" of starting with the basics and our Handlers and Dogs understand what we are asking by teaching them first.

Are you ready for hunting season...

NAVHDA has FOUR levels of testing, Natural Ability for puppies up to 16 months old. Utility Prep Test is set up as a mid place between NA and UT. This test offers you the ability to gauge where your dog is and how to go forward or something fun to do with your dog in between hunting season. The Utility test is geared for the owner and dogs that enjoy training and developing their skills and the Invitation for Utility Prize 1 dogs, based on qualifying.
