Join Upland for Snake aversion
Snake aversion training is a specialized training method designed to teach dogs to identify, react to, and ultimately avoid snakes, especially venomous ones. It aims to create a negative association with snakes, so dogs don't approach them, and to alert owners to potential danger. This training typically involves teaching dogs to recognize the sight, smell, and sound of a snake, and associating these cues with a response like a strong recall or alert to the handler.
